Simple summer four #3 How to wear jeans in the heat
November 2, 2015
Because sometimes you just want a change from shorts. And even though you know, deep down, that you should be celebrating the bright sunny skies and 30 degree heat of a Caribbean November in flippy dresses and sun hats, there's a part of you that misses Autumn. And the seasonal wardrobe it requires. So here's a stylish and cool - in every sense - way to wear jeans in the heat.
One/ What you wear on top is crucial here if you want to avoid meltdown. You want the lightest whisp of a fabric and what could be more perfect than silk? This nude colour is just peachy with denim and looks very on trend tucked into a high-ish waistband. It's not cheap but it's something you'd wear again and again and is beautifully made with darts at the back. This fashion blogger looks amazing in it (and everything else). two/ It's the colour and fit of these jeans that's slighlty reminiscent of the 90's, that really makes them. Fashioned from a lovely light denim perfect for warmer weather, they're fitted without being skinny and sit fairly high on the waist (in a very flattering way). They also have a short hem which allows for plenty of ventillation and looks great with a sandal. Mid blue Girlfriend jeans, £40 by Topshop
